It’s no secret that we are all burned out from the pandemic. Each of us has battled increased stresses from pivoting from office to teleworking, to challenges with child or elder care, to loss of income (personally and professionally), and more. Thankfully, there has been a ton of information and statistics shared in the last couple of years about how important personal wellness is. But information alone doesn’t help someone start to feel better. We want share how to transform this valuable information into usable tools and encourage our members to take their next step in reclaiming their wellness.

Elaine Brady – Assistant Director of Finance and Operations, University of Georgia
Elaine has worked in finance for over 15 years, 8 of which have been in higher ed. She has spent the last 6 years working directly with study away programs. Like everyone else in HEIBO, due to the pandemic, the last 2+ years have been some of her most difficult years, both professionally and personally. But, she has refused to allow these years to go to waste! Her experiences have spurred her to seek her own personal wellness and she is an advocate for and encourages others to make personal wellness a priority.
Leigh Knapp – Director of Finance and Operations, University of Georgia
Leigh has spent most of her career in finance and has over a decade of experience in higher ed. She has spent the last 8 years providing oversight for all of UGA’s study away programs. Her strong leadership was invaluable during the pandemic. She encourages her staff and others in her unit to have appropriate life/work balances.
