An onboarding case study of a multi-year project of transitioning to a new enrollment management system (Via). Questions we would like to address are: Why was UChicago looking for a new enrollment management system, how did we choose the system we chose (Via), best practices in partnership, challenges during onboarding, successes, and takeaways.

Bios:
Elana Kranz – Deputy Director of Study Abroad, University of Chicago
Elana Kranz is the Deputy Director of Study Abroad. She coordinates the programs in Berlin, Bologna, and Milan and oversees the office and program budgets and payments, among other responsibilities. She started at the University in 2005 as a graduate student in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures and joined Study Abroad in 2010. Before coming to the University of Chicago, Elana worked in international education in AIESEC, at The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, and at the University of California-Berkeley. She has a PhD in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Chicago.
Elana has had the opportunity to spend extended periods of time in Italy in Bologna, Cagliari, Rome, and Florence. She loves to travel the world and she is grateful every day to support the international exploration of the amazing undergraduate students at the University of Chicago.
