Bios:
Wil Biddle, HEIBO 2022 Chair – University of Maryland
Wil is the current Chair of HEIBO and has served as co-chair and been a member of the Steering Committee for over 5 years. As the Associate Director of Administrative Services at University of Maryland, Wil works to support UMD’s finance and personnel aspects of international activity. He began his career in mutual fund analysis in corporate America, but made the transition to international education, while maintaining a strong interest in budgeting and finance.Wil’s previous professional experience includes working in study abroad outreach in the United States and five years working in Student Life at Hamad bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar. Wil earned his MBA from Bloomsburg University, PA.
Ben Fan, HEIBO 2022 Chair-Elect – Rutgers University
Ben Fan is the Executive Director of Finance and Operations. He oversees the financial, human resources, and operational responsibilities of the Rutgers Global, which entails the development and enforcement of policies and procedures that ensure adherence to financial and personnel requirements. Fan also provides recommendations for future strategies and agendas and performs a number of managerial activities in the Rutgers Global’ s offices, including those related to facilities and telecommunications/IT functions. With an MBA and a master’s of science in accountancy, Fan has significant experience in leading accounting, recruitment, and personnel efforts for higher education international relations units
Tami Jauert, HEIBO 2023 Chair-Elect – University of Minnesota
Tami Jauert is the HR Director for the Global Programs and Strategy Alliance at the University of Minnesota. She has worked in Human Resources at the University of Minnesota for 19 years doing work ranging from data entry and payroll verification to employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement. Tami has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from South Dakota State University and is a certified Senior Human Resource Professional from the Society for Human Resources Management.
Laura Kremer, Founding HEIBO Member – Indiana University
Laura Kremer is the current Financial Manager of the Office of Overseas Study at Indiana University. Laura has been
employed by IU for 33 years, 31 of those years spent in Overseas Study. She grew up in Louisville, KY and is a graduate of the University of
Louisville holding a B.S. in Finance. A s the Financial Manager, Laura is responsible for all the financial, budgetary and data functions for Overseas Study and the IU High School Honors Program for Foreign Languages. Laura also works with other units within the university to provide assistance and guidance for the operation of the unit-based programs. Laura has been involved with HEIBO since the first conference/gathering was held at the University of Arizona in Tempe, Arizona.
